Samuel Saker Kunkel is a violin maker and old time/bluegrass musician working and residing in Chicago, Illinois.
He attended and graduated from the Chicago School of Violin Making in 2017 where he studied with renowned instructors, Rebecca Elliot and Frederic Thompson.
Since graduating, Samuel has worked at several prominent violin shops in the Chicago area. Focusing on repair, set up, tonal adjustments of several well-known master makers including Bronislaw Cison, Stanley Kiernoziak, and Vanna So while interning with William Whedbee.
